Puppet and Automation MeetUp! Automate all the things!

Parking on 18th and Curtis or anywhere downtown.

This months presentation is by Jeffery Scelza of Time Warner and will be on using the "Oscar Plugin" to build out a puppet enterprise  environment in Vagrant.  I am told that we may see some additional functionality like pulling down r10k, using unit test, puppet parser and puppet-lint.  Should be really cool.

Pizza will be provided by John Grunwald of iHireAssociates and as always, beer from Ping Identity.

If you want to present a topic for the next meeting please feel free to email the group organizers. Anything related to config automation, continuous integration / deployment, or any devops related topics are welcome.

General agenda is:
- Social and Food
- Meet and Greet
- Presentation
- Q&A and Beverages

Thanks for all you guys coming. I have push my example to github.com. It can be found https://github.com/jscelza/vagrant_oscar_example

I plan on doing some more automation around setting up the master internal configuration to align with a current working infrastructure so check back. The Sides can be found at

Let me know if you have any other question or have any ideas how to better streamline local development.

Jeff walked us through using Oscar to build out local vagrant environments which is good because there is precious little documentation. We should do more meetups where we just work through example configs. Oscar isn't the only projects that is confusing without a little help.
