May ThanksGaming Day *Charity Event*

**NOTE: In order to rsvp for specific game events you need to go the the following web address: http://warhorn.net/may-thanksgaming-2013/ **

This event is hosted by Total Escape Games, RolePlayDNA, the Suzuki Chronicles, and Smiling Jack's Bar and Grill.  The Denver RPG group happily promotes gaming events across the front range but, in this case, is not involved directly in organizing the event.

Please RSVP here to coordinate games with other meetup members or let folks know if you are running games (several Denver RPG group organizers/members are scheduled to run games).  There is a great variety of systems and game settings/eras being run including: Savage Worlds, Dungeon Crawl Classics, Fiasco, Fate, and more!

Games are run in four hour increments and there is a $3/game charity donation required to play with 100% of the funds going to the Boulder Humane Society.  For each additional $5 donation you will recieve three raffle tickets or $20 for 15 tickets.  IMO The prizes at the event in Nov 2012 were definitely worth the additional donation.

Game registration opened on March 20th (today) so sign up on the Warhorn site soon to get your top game choices.  :)

Excellent logistics and coordination, space at TEG, freebe snacks provided by TEG, prize support, Game Masters, and great players! So pleased to help raise $1,100 for the Boulder Humane Society while having an over-the-top fun game day. :)

Hey Everyone, if you are interested in playing make sure you pre-register! I think we will have spots available on Saturday for walk-in, but if you see a game you like make sure you get your space! Remember this is all for a good cause!

Looking forward to Fiasco at 7:00 pm

I think you'd also like Lee's Necissary Evil Savage Worlds game, we play as super villians in a world where an alien invasion killed all the heroes, and we're all that's left to defend the planet.

I'll be there for Fiasco as well, if there are any seats left! Also, that Savage Worlds game sounds amazing. :D

I'm running Fiasco, trying to get some indie games in the mix. I really should pick up a copy of Dungeon Crawl Classics and ask Harley to autograph it...

I might be able to show up for Fiasco but it'll depend on my work. I hope everyone shows up and donates to a great cause regardless! :D

I did pick up a physical copy of DCC, so now I just have to remember to bring it. I'm going to look over the Fiasco playsets and print out one I've never played before!

If there's table space and un-occupied players, I'm up for running a few rounds of "Everyone is John".

    March 21, 2013

    • Justin S.

Alexander, we are pretty full on tables but if you like we can list you as a backup GM if someone drops out. We like to have all games be available to sign up for because we charge for each session to raise money for the charity we are fundraising for. Send me a PM if you are interested.

Clearly I am a gaming junkie because I've played in games with nine of the people running games at this event.

      Correction, ten of the GMs.

I'm running Savage Worlds Rampant Flux in the dynamic setting known only as... The Edge. Rampant Flux is currently In Production, so this is like playtesting!

Anyway, I have 3 different scenarios, one in each of all 3 slots. These scenarios will be challenging! In fact the difficulty has been cranked up to 11: Hardcore! You'll have to use your brains instead of your trigger fingers! Or maybe both...

I cannot recommend playing these enough. Unless you can get into my games.

I am running two events. Afternoon: The Dream Team. This is a Savage Worlds game where you get to play one of a handful of fictional heroes like: Buffy, Captain Mal, Jack Sparrow. My evening game is a SW Interface Zero game called Road Trip.

Dragon Age Table top RPG in the morning and SW Necessary Evil in the afternoon! Can not wait to "Do Good by playing Games!"

I'll be running Leagues of Adventure again this time, in the afternoon slot. This will be my third time running LoA at one of our charity game day events, but this time it'll be an original scenario with an Egyptian adventure theme!

Due to a scheduling change in my son's flag football league I won't get to play in any of the games. I will, however, be running Deadlands Reloaded in the night-time slot, and I'm very much looking forward to it.

I'm signed up to play in Lee's Necessary Evil (Savage Worlds) game and Ron's FATE game. I'm also waitlisted for Harvey's morning Dungeon Crawl Classics game. :)

I auto RSVPed for all the folks I know are planning to attend (because they are scheduled to host games). I hope you all will share what you are running or playing in here in the comments.
