D&D for newbs

  • Needs a date

  • Needs a location

  • Okay, so this a long-shot with this meet-up group. But should someone out there never have played D&D, this is for you. I've been there. I wanted to try but the book is expensive and your not sure if its for you. So you dont want to jump right in. Meet-up date not set yet. But if you can make it to englewood or a south suburb. click the interested button. I've playing for 15 years, and Im offering you a way to dip your toes is. if you like it. you can come again. If not, then I'll cry for a while but with enough ice cream and bacon i may get over it. What do you have to lose, other then your girlfriend (Or boyfriend).

So I've always wanted to play D&D but can never find anyone to play with, and the one time I did they were super flaky. I would love to play, especially in south Denver as that my area. I actually already have 3.5e and 4e books, including book 1 and 3 of 4e (what? they were on sale. don't judge me). If this happens I would love to join. that said, I'm noticing nobody's updated this for a long time, is it still happening?

I played for a while in a 4E home campaign and some 4E LFR. I have not played in a year and want to get back in. I love playing with players of all skill levels.

I am 14 by the way. It would be nice if you could do it during winter break but it's ok if you can't do that. I just would really liked to play in a 3.5 campaign and it doesn't matter if the players are advanced or not.

What edition. I have played 1e a couple of times and I love D&D and really want to play 3.5 but I am having trouble learning how to play.

I'm not sure I know enough to even comment intelligently, but my 13yo son would like to start playing. I would love to get him into a game with an experienced DM. We live in Lafayette. And while I will drive in Denver so he can learn to play I would prefer somewhere between Boulder and Denver.

I've been trying to find a 4e group forever, but any edition is great. I can make any day work with my current schedule.

If tons of folks RSVP, then I will volunteer to DM at a second table. I can run a 4e newbie adventure. :) I have DMed 4e for a group of friends for about 2 yrs now.

Weekends are iffy for me, and Sunday nights (5 pm out) are a no-go. Weekdays are typically a lot better with the exception of Monday.

Evenings are also best for me & Sundays are generally good. And to throw out another potential location: Total Escape Games, near Sheridan & 120th, also has open tables -- just need to check their calendar for a good day, since they sometimes have Magic tournaments and such (they've got an online event calendar on their site).

I run the Pathfinder Society events at Bonnie Brae Hobbies in Englewood on Mondays. Out of the 8 to 10 tables, we only occupy one large table in the basement. Plenty of more room for you guys. Weekdays are the best days, btw, to get a couple tables there. Just throwing this out there. Cheers!

Let's check with everyone for a good time and date. I can do[masked] during week days and any time on Sunday. I can't do Saturday's.

I don't mind which version we play as long as we can make it on a day we can all make it. Mondays and Tuesdays are filled in for me already. Sunday is always open for m. But depending on travel time I might only be able to stay until 10 or so.

I'm a newb who's been making an attempt to learn 4e, but would love to connect with a group to learn more. If you're looking for a place, there is a place in Highlands Ranch called Enchanted Grounds that's a coffee house and gaming store with tables. Great location if it works for everyone. I'm up for a Monday night if that works.

I love gaming and the genre, I just never have actually played D&D in the traditional sense. I really would love to get into it. Date needs to be a time i can make it due to work though... i hope there will be a few opportunities! Thank you.

This is a great idea and I'm. I'm an experienced gamer myself, so would be happy to assist on the player's side - let me know which version of DND though.
