Table Top Day Board Games

I'm planning to host/teach a few board games for International Table Top Day, Hurray! (  This is a significant other and kid friendly event. If the kiddo can read and has a decent attention span this would probably be fun for them, estimated 10 years+ depending on the game.

There is a "note" on the calendar for today about other Table Top events going on around the city, so check that out too.

Noon-1:15pm: Pandemic.  2-4 player cooperative game, rules taught. "In Pandemic, several virulent diseases have broken out simultaneously all over the world! The players are disease-fighting specialists whose mission is to treat disease hotspots while researching cures for each of four plagues before they get out of hand."

My friend Lee will be Demoing "Super Dungeon Explore" at 12:30pm as well.

1:30pm-2:15pm: King of Tokyo. 2-6 player "take that" style game, rules taught.  "In King of Tokyo, you play mutant monsters, gigantic robots, and strange aliens – all of whom are destroying Tokyo and whacking each other in order to become the one and only King of Tokyo."

2:30pm-3pm The Resistance. 5-10 player bluffing/deduction card game, rules taught. "The Resistance is a party game of social deduction. It is designed for five to ten players, lasts about 30 minutes, and has no player elimination. The Resistance is inspired by Mafia/Werewolf, yet it is unique in its core mechanics, which increase the resources for informed decisions, intensify player interaction, and eliminate player elimination."

**If we don't have 5+ players for Resistance we will play Fluxx. 2-6 players, set collection heavily reliant on luck/randomness, rules taught.  "Fluxx is a card game in which the cards themselves determine the current rules of the game. By playing cards, you change numerous aspects of the game: how to draw cards, how to play cards, and even how to win."**

If you want more information on these games and others check out the fun videos featuring Wil Wheaton that teach you rules while still being very entertaining:

Additionally I will be staying around through the evening to just hang out and get my game on.

I hope to see you there and happy gaming!
