Learn to be a Dungeon Master

Learn to take your friends on magical journeys as a Dungeon Master (DM) in the Dungeons & Dragons game. This seminar is for new and existing DM's who want to learn the new D&D game. For the first hour the host will talk about the new D&D game and differences from older versions, how to DM and when and when not to use the rules. Following the rules portion there will be a 2 hour session of D&D stopping briefly to discuss different aspects of the game. The last hour will be how to run a campaign and a general Q&A session.

COST: $10 if you already have the D&D Starter Set (available in July, bring it with you) or $25 for admission and a copy of the D&D Starter Set.

I wasn't aware the starter set would be out before the 15th so I haven't got mine yet. Is there going to be another one of these?

It was cool to meet up with some experienced and novice DM's and cover the new information in the DnD world. I definitely walked away with some insight on how to better run table top games, and a better idea of how to make the starter kit work for myself and my gaming group. We covered the bulk of the information in the starter set, and did a little bit of play-through at the beginning of the campaign. Robert then covered what he felt could have been done better and the decisions he made, along with things he may change regarding story/map position when running the story in the future.
To Robert: Thanks for having the event.
To the attendees: Thanks for coming, it was great learning with everyone.

If you're coming this Sunday, do you have a Starter Set already or will you be getting one there?

I will still require a starter set on Sunday.

Thanks Robert. Is it mandatory that we have the starter set for this meetup? I just want to make sure if I should call around and a copy from the store when they can release. Can we look up on the Wizard's website how has this designation?

I'll be using the Starter Set as an example during the seminar, so you should have it. The store that the seminar is at, Adventurers Quarter will have them.
