Thanksgiving All Day Gaming!

My game group has a tradition of having an all-day game day after we recover from our Turkey day induced food comas and, following the success of my birthday party game day, we have decided to open this event up to everyone here at the meetup.  :)

We'll be putting together a set schedule of events, both RPGs and Board Games in addition to open board gaming all day long (10:30am until close).  If you are interested in having an event listed, please contact me (Wendy) through the meetup with the details.  **I'll update this post or create separate calendar events as needed.**

1.  Open Games: bring board game or two that you'd like to play and/or can show others how to play.  Typically we run things in 1-4 hour blocks, please use that as a guide line when considering what games to bring.

2.  RPG Players: please bring your dice, a pencil, and any books you may need.  Note: you may need to rsvp separately for RPGs, to be determined.

3.  Om Nom Nom: bring either food or drinks to share potluck-style (no alcohol), and whatever is needed to consume it (cups, napkins, forks, serving spoons, etc).  Keep in mind, I don't think that there is a fridge or microwave available to us.

4.  Mini-me's: my core group doesn't bring tweens or younger to game (mature teens okay).  Typically we use some bad language and play complex games that are better suited for a mature crowd.  If you are planning to bring your family please be ready to ensure they are entertained.

**While you are at the store anyway, consider shopping for the gamers on your holiday list**

Ho-ho-hope to see you then!

Derek, great minds think alike. I was thinking about bringing Betrayal and Munchkin as well. I think Carl is bringing Arkham with at least one expansion. Bring a 12-pack of soda or something like that, we'll have to get you to cook another time. :)

I was thinking of bringing Munchkin, Betrayal at House on the Hill, and maybe Ninja Burger and Illuminati. I also have Arkham Horror and all the expansions if anyone would be interested in investing the time for such a game. As for RPG's, I would be interested in playing pretty much anything and I have a decent collection, so I might have a copy of any requests anyone has. I won't subject you all to my cooking on my first meetup, as I would like to make a good impression :)

FYI: there are two other events going on at Total Escape while we'll be there that are hosted by other people. BYO-Mini Painting (3pm-7pm) and Vampire the Requiem RPG (4:30pm-9pm)

will this tie into the 'Mystara goes to Ravenloft' game? I can make it to both but I'll be late to this one since my plane lands around 10:40am that morning

I am planning to get the morning kicked off right by using bribery (it's always worked in the past) fresh pastries at 10:30am! Doughnuts, cinnamon rolls, and homemade brown sugar apple biscuts along with hot coffee are all in the running. Can't wait to see y'all then!

I'm planning to bring Pandemic + On the Brink, Last Night on Earth, and Jenga. Also I might facilitate a "pick up" rpg of "Fiasco" 3-5 players and no GM/prep needed. My group seems to specialize in Fiascos, so I feel like I am already ready. :)
