There's also HobbyQuest Games that just opened up in Longmont, it's off Main and 119, right by the Snarfs. Doesn't have a sign yet, I believe. Not entirely sure what they're stocking, though.

If you didn't know, Eugene, the owner of Stonebridge Games on Main Street in Longmont closed his doors a couple of months ago and has moved full time back into computers. That left us in Longmont with Hobby Town, who eliminated all their game supplies other than Warhammer, D&D4, and a row of board games. Not necessarily bad but they're a hobby shop and not a game shop. The staff is about 50/50 knowledgeable about gaming in general. Most recently, the Comic Shop on Main has started buying and supporting Hero-Clix and Magic The Gathering with a game room in the back. Again, they're a comic shop and not a game shop.
Of course Karliquin's and the other place (Gamer's Den on North Broadway; something like that) in Boulder are available as well as Total Escape Games in Broomfield but both are a bit of a ride.
good news side, Jamie (one of the former managers of Stonebridge Games) has committed to opening a new game shop on 17th and Hover in the strip mall where the Conoco sits. I think this is a great location as it's close to several food places (Carl's Jr, Jimmy Johns, Subway, Deli-cioso, and a pizza place) and the Conoco has drinks and snacks. Plus it's in the middle of a housing area vs downtown.
Add in that it's a 5 minute bicycle ride or 15 minute walk from my place, and I'm up for it.
The store is to be called Atomic Goblin and in talking with Jamie, he's planning on doing some prep work in late June with the store opening in mid-July some time.
This should be interesting to say the least. Jamie and I have spoken extensively on what sorts of games should be stocked and how and I've volunteered to work on his web site.
