The setting for the Tacticon run of the Team Event RPG has been chosen: "Post-Apocalyptic Reality TV in Vegas!" There's still plenty of room for more teams and solo players. I hope to see you there!

Wow--I know that genghis is Colorado's primary con, but I was totally blown away by my return to Tacticon this year.

First off, it was great seeing fellow meetup members Camden, Scott D., Arpie, Lee L, Brian and David, and my friends from other games, other cons, and practically other lifetimes (2004).

I played in several Hero System games and several Savage Worlds games hosted by the Rocky Mountain Savages. All of them were fantastic because of both the player enthusiasm and sweet-ass GM mojo. here's the run down of my weekend...

Played Rachel from "Friends" in 1934 NYC and saved some folks from a socialist rally (hero system).
Was the "Silver Sapphire" Luchador in 1960's Mexico City saving the world from from evil doers, as usual (hero system).
A Cog in the Gears of War board game and a psychic with a troubled love life in story game "Guestbook"
The overly patriotic Operator shot down onto a NM reservist base where not all is as it seems (Savage Worlds)
And finally a pleasure bot, I mean simulacrum face, trying to recover a kidnapping victim in Brazil in Interface Zero (savage worlds).

I have to give a special shout out to the Rocky Mountain Savages (find them on facebook) for killer prize support, both Camden and I won player's guide books just for playing on Saturday night, and Marc won a full set of the Interface Zero setting books as a random draw at the end of our Sunday game.

Bummer of the weekend was that Scott's "Team Event" storytelling RPG that was to be set as a reality TV show in post-apocalyptic Vegas didn't have the required 12 players to run. I really wanted to play and will have to work with Scott to set something up outside of the con framework--keep an eye out for this on the meetup!

I hope everyone who went had an experience as great as mine. Hope to see you all at Genghis if not before.

I had a good time despite only being there for a few hours. Here's Wendy's "Team Enduring Peace" all jazzed out for the Team Event:

Don't worry, we'll make it happen soon!

This was my first year at Tacticon and I had a great time! It was awesome to see everyone and meet new people.

Wendy, you are a topic of discussion on The Game's The Thing podcast. You're internet famous!
