Join fellow conservatives, members of the Republican Liberty Caucus, and frequent visitors of Stapleton for some door-to-door walking and/or talking it up for Amendment 64, which would regulate marijuana like alcohol for adults 21 and over in unambiguous fulfillment of the 9th and 10th Amendments to the US Constitution.
DRESS LIKE THE STAFF AT RP HQ! We'll meet in front of the old office and hand out lists and material starting at 9:30 AM then off to walking at 10. There's several fliers available in the "Files" section of the meetup, so if you want to download and print some before the weekend THAT WOULD BE GREAT.
To add to the argument, here's quoting from the RLC statement issued at http://www.RLCcolorado.com:
"Some will say that Republicans should oppose Amendment 64 because marijuana is illegal under federal law. What a very unrepublican idea! Defending the people of Colorado from federal overreach is a fight Colorado Republicans should embrace. As our party argued so strenuously against Obamacare, the federal government is limited by the enumerated powers of the constitution and the commerce clause is to be viewed narrowly. There is no argument in the cannon of conservative thought that justifies federal control of marijuana. Indeed, respected conservatives thinkers like William F Buckley, Milton Friedman and conservative Christian Pat Robertson all agree that the federal war on marijuana should stop."
