I really, really like this idea! This site (pledgebank.com) is the kind of action-oriented tool that
a grass roots, web-based movement needs to take our ground swell of support to the next level.
Websites like Pledgebank are exactly the kind of tools that will give us a chance to fight the "Ah, you're just throwing your vote away" mentality because they enhance the risk/reward ratio for the supporter.
We get to "experience" the benefits of being part of a new movement that we are passionate about, but without the RISK of failure. Supporting Ron Paul, believing in a third party, wanting to end corruption in government are all noble goals...just the kind that are too often abandoned in the name of political expediency somewhere between HERE and the voting booth. We need to put processes IN PLACE NOW to prevent this.
Lend your support to Pledgebank and watch it grow. When 500,000 people have agreed to donate $25.00, then and only then do you send in your money. Then, the risk/reward ratio will be much more in your favor.
Don't really understand the concern about scam or fraud, if you're worried about that, just review the site more because you may be misunderstanding things.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention!
