URGENT: PLEASE, If you
are planning on running for national delegate get to the county GOP office
today and file your intent.
Or at the very least check to see if there is a rule change in your county.
The state has changed the rules as far as running for national delegate.
The county can change the deadline for accepting applications. For Jefferson County it is tomorrow.
It would be wise if possible to file your intent to run form today. Don’t get lost in the shuffle by the changes they are making to try to disqualify anyone.
Below is a letter from the state GOP.
And the last letter is from Ryan Call the State GOP chair.
Dear County Chairs –
The National Delegate “Intent to Run” form, attached here and available both on CRCAS and the SCC Login page, is a document indicating a State Delegate’s intent to run for national delegate and to attend the Republican National Convention. Please notify delegates and alternates to the National Convention they are responsible for all of their own expenses including travel and lodging.
Please distribute this form at your County Assembly to all delegates who have been elected as a State or Congressional Delegate or Alternate and who are interested in running for national delegate. It is each County Chair’s responsibility to verify the eligibility of delegates and alternates. The State Party will NOT accept forms directly from delegates individually – we will only accept forms from County Chairs and their respective executive committees. This is also spelled out on the form attached.
Each delegate who wishes to pursue a national delegate slot will be required to sign this form and submit it directly to their corresponding County Chair. As county chair, it is at your discretion to determine the deadline to receive any intent to run forms. The State Party requests that you have all of your intent to run forms submitted directly to us here by March 31st. You can submit these forms by Fax: (303)[masked], e-mail [address removed], or by mail to 5950 South Willow Drive, Suite 301 Greenwood Village, CO 80111.
If you have any further questions, please feel free to reach out to us here directly.
Below is a recent email we sent to our county party chairs regarding the National Delegate Intent to Run form you asked about. I wanted to make sure you had these forms, which should be distributed to anyone who wishes to run for National Delegate. We really would like to encourage anyone who is interested in participating in this historic election to run to do so. The forms should be returned to the county party chairs, who will first verify that the person who wishes to run is eligible (i.e. they are a properly credentialed delegate or alternate delegates to the state and/or congressional district assembly from that county), and then the county party chair will forward the forms to me at State Party HQ, and we will prepare the ballots.
We expect a very large group of interested candidates for National Delegate, so the sooner we can start getting these forms, the better, since the turn-around time to prepare and print the ballots for National Delegate is exceedingly tight.
Thanks for your help.
Ryan R. Call, Esq.
