Let's create a group that will study the thorough, thought-provoking and profound book, The World Peace Diet: Eating for Spiritual Health and Harmony by Will Tuttle. Our purpose is to dig deep into the reasons why people become vegan and the reasons why it is vital that the people of the world adopt a vegan lifestyle. This study is for anyone who is interested in learning about veganism from a multiple of perspectives: spiritual, political, ecological, nutritional and cultural. You are welcome to join whether you are a seasoned vegan, a new vegan or curious about veganism.
We will meet once a month on the last Thursday of the month in January, February, March, and April of 2014. Each meeting will consist of a short presentation and recap of the month's assigned chapters. An open discussion will then follow. The meetings will be facilitated by Peter B. Roth and Vilma Reynoso. For this meeting, please read Chapters 4, 5, 6, and 7.
The book is comprised of fifteen chapters and a preface. This group requires a commitment from its members to read the assigned chapters each month.
