What we’re about

Underwater hockey meetup group for the Denver area. We would like to invite you to try underwater hockey, a fun a competitive sport. For more information on underwater hockey, see this introductory video (https://vimeo.com/6919536)

WHERE?

Lakewood practices are held at the Carmody Recreation Center at 2200 S (Old) Kipling St. in Lakewood, CO. See the map for directions.

WHEN?

Sunday afternoons from 3:00 to 4:30 and Wednesday evenings from 7:00 to 8:30. Please consult this meetup site to confirm that we are meeting on specific dates. Please arrive 15 minutes early so we can start on time. New players will be contacted before their first game and their assigned coach for that game will give them a time to meet at the pool for extra instruction.

WHO?

Practices are open to men and women of all ages. Beginners are welcome but limited to two new players per session. Practices usually consist of scrimmage and instructional sessions, so there's something for everyone.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

Currently there is a $10/game drop in fee. Eventually we will re-instate a per-practice or per-quarter fee. For detailed payment information for Lakewood practices, please speak with Chris Debrunner, the Lakewood club Treasurer (you can catch him at practice most of the time).

NOTE: The club rents the pool, so you should not pay to get in for our practices. When you come into the Carmody facility, tell the staff at the front desk that you are there to play Underwater Hockey.

WHAT DO I BRING?

We are requiring all players to bring their own mask and snorkel. We have the rest of the gear available to borrow, but if you have your own fins, please do bring them!
