The name Salkantay is from sallqa, a Quechua word meaning wild, uncivilized, savage, or invincible. The name is thus often translated as "Savage Mountain". This is an adventurous trek supported with pack horses and you can opt for a horse of your own as well.READ MORE HERE....

    Tricia, is this the 'Inca Trail' trek that leaves from, I believe, signpost 88 on the train from Cuzco to Agua Calientes?

      I have no idea what you are talking about. This is a 5 day 4 night trek to Machu Picchu. Sayapata is our trek starting point. This is not the classic but the Salkantay, hiking into a glacier area and eventually arriving at Machu Picchu.   • the Meetup is cancelled

Additional notes: Please review the terms on the Singles Adventures.us. Cancellations 90 days or more prior to departure will receive refund less $100. 31-59 days will be subject to loss of 50% of trip price. 30 days or less will be subject to 100% of program price.
