Hike to Maxwell Falls (close to Evergreen)

Note the map is for giving you directions on getting to Brook Forest in Evergreen.  This is a visual for the directions below and you will reach 73 where it says Evergreen in the map.  When you turn on Brook Forest you will drive approximately 3miles and on the left side of the road is a small parking area for the trail.   Call me Sat morning if you get lost,[masked]-2801.

So I did this hike today, the water is flowing pretty good and you can hear the crick most of the way up to the falls .   Took me an hour to get to the falls, taking my time ...  and about 20 minutes to get back so I would say about a 2 hour hike.   That will take us right to lunch time and there is a cozy little B & B up the road called the Brook Forest Inn where I thought we could grab some lunch.   This site has the menu,

I will be there about 9:30 and heading up the trail @10am.

Hike to Maxwell Falls meet at the lower trailhead which has a parking area and signs, and is closer to Evergreen than the upper trailhead. Trailhead: Travel to Evergreen on rte 74. Take rte 73 about a mile to Brook Forest Road. Travel about 3 miles to a parking lot on your left.  Or if your coming on 73 it is about a mile before you get to rte 74 in Evergreen and you can only turn left onto Brook Forest Road which is at the start of a right turning curve.

Some information about the trail can be found HERE or by looking up "Maxwell Falls Trail." Anyone coming along that wasn't on my last hike will need to fill out and sign a Liabilty Release form located in the files under More in the menu bar. This is a relatively easy hike and should only take 2 - 3 hours tops.

Will not be able to attend because of a conflict. It sounds like a fun , pretty easy hike.
