Denver iOS Developer User Group - Dan Hall (Power Coding with App Code)

  • Apr 15, 2014 · 6:30 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Hi Everyone,

We will be meeting tomorrow (Tuesday 4/15) at 6:30pm at Code. Daniel Hall will be giving a talk on Power Coding with AppCode, and there will also be a quick demo of Three Cents by Conor Swanson, an app to quickly build rich mobile polls and receive instant opinions from your friends built by the folks at Denver-based LoHi Labs.

Please RSVP if you plan on attending as food and drinks will be provided.

Power coding with App Code

Anyone creating apps for iOS or OSX is familiar with Xcode. But many developers don't know about AppCode, a modern and highly advanced coding environment for Objective-C that is based on the astonishingly intelligent JetBrains inspections engine.

This engine allows AppCode to analyze, review, and understand the intent of your code in real-time, at a level unmatched by other tools. And it is the foundation for what the creators call "intention-based programming", which means that AppCode understands what you want to do, even if you mistyped it or left something out, and can suggest and automatically create the necessary missing code, or fix the incorrect code with a single keystroke.

In this presentation, I'll walk through and demonstrate how to use a number of AppCode's features and shortcuts that make coding your projects faster, more accurate, less bug prone, and more intuitive (as well as significantly less irritating). Feel free to download the demo version of the software from: http://www.jetbrains.com/objc/ and follow along with the presentation!

Free License!

All attendees of this meetup will be entered into a drawing to win a free AppCode license ($99 value). Winner will be chosen at the end of the presentation.

I think Dan's intro to AppCode is going to get me over the initial hump and on to a more productive life;-) Thought the threecentsapp.com product looked excellent.
