Our Client is an Austin, Texas based company seeking an outstanding and committed Java Developer in their downtown Austin, TX office. Our Client provides safe, innovative and highly effective identity-theft protection products and services to consumers. In just a few years our Client has sent over 50,000,000 Anti Theft notifications to close to nearly 2,000,000 consumers, and has been responsible for the remediation of 6 of the 10 largest data breaches of all time.

As a Java Developer , your work will focus on design, implementation, unit-testing and peer review in an Agile environment. This is a hands-on development role, and requires the implementation of core Java, back-end development, application and database components. You should have 7+ years of development experience. The ideal candidate will not only have the required technical skills, but should also work well in small teams; enjoy engaging with other parts of the business to solve critical business problems; think “out-of-the-box”; and enjoy what they do.

Strong Skills Required
Strong understanding of system and application level security
Java Application Server: JBoss Version 5+(preferred)
Web Application Framework: SEAM/JSF (preferred); Spring
Hibernate 3 or JPA Object-Relational Mapping
Daily use of Subversion
Delivers quality, well-tested code
Mule ESB version 3.2

Technology Skills Preferred
Non-technical skills required
Strong listening skills
Ability to implement features based on business-level, functional requirements
Collaborative approach, work with the rest of the Engineering team to ensure consistent approach to problem solving
Familiarity with the Agile development processes
Familiarity with Atlassian project management tools (i.e. JIRA and Confluence)
