Everyone is welcome regardless of your religious affiliation. Whether you are Christian, Jewish, non-denominational, spiritual but not religious, or anything else. You will not be judged and are welcome to attend to witness the beauty of the sunrise and spiritual gathering on this holiday.

* * * WHEN YOU RSVP, YOU WILL BE TAKEN TO A SCREEN WITH QUESTIONS. PLEASE ANSWER THEM IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED IN THE PLANNING. IF YOU DON'T, CONSIDERATION WILL NOT BE RETURNED TO YOU WHEN IT COMES TO PLAN CHANGES AND UPDATES, OR IF WE NEED TO KNOW WHERE YOU ARE ON THE DAY OF THE EVENT IF YOU ARE LOST * * *

RED ROCKS:

Off-site meeting time: 4:00 AM (carpool location TBD & you will be notified beforehand)

Door Time: 4:30 AM

Service Begins: Sunday, March 31, 2013, 6:00 AM

Preacher: Rev Dr. Jim Ryan, Executive Director of the Colorado Council of Churches. Dr Ryan has been in charge of the Easter Sunrise Service for the past 13 years. This will be his last Sunrise Service since he will be retiring from the Council of Churches May 30. He has agreed to preach this final year.

Music: Women of Note from St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Highlands Ranch under the direction of Dr. Jim Ramsey.

People all over the world will be able to access the service and be spiritually inspired as the service will be web-cast live.

Admittance and parking are free. However, worshipers are asked to bring non-perishable food items to contribute to COMPA Food Ministry at the gates.

An offering is received as a part of the worship service and is used to cover the over $20,000 (over $16,000 for the use of Red Rocks) substantial costs of this annual celebration of Easter.

Ten thousand people gather for this annual celebration of the resurrection. For many of them, this is their only exposure to the Gospel. Individuals may support this service of celebration by clicking on the DONATE button to the right on this page or by sending a check to the Colorado Council of Churches, 1140 W. 5th Ave. , Denver, CO 80204.

* * BRUNCH LOCATION TBD. IT WILL BE SOMETHING NICE & APPROPRIATE FOR THE HOLIDAY, BUT SOMEWHAT AFFORDABLE

* * HIKE IS ALSO TBD, BUT WILL BE EASY AND SOMEWHERE WITHIN A 45 MINUTE DRIVE OF RED ROCKS.

Beautiful morning. Great coffee and brunch, great company. The hike was an awesome way to start the spring hiking season. A bit difficult, a bit scenic, perfect day.
