Cheesman Park Pickup

(I kicked back the "official" start time because we have plenty of daylight now and to keep new people from showing up right at 5:30 and leaving because they don't see the game. My suggestion is for those who can arrive at 5:30 to do so and have the game in swing before 6pm.)

All skill levels welcome! On nicer days we have enough for 2 games and can try to split up based on ability. But you'll feel welcome no matter what. I've played at pickup games all around Denver and there are some with better play and some where it may be easier to meet people, but this is the best mix of both.

For anyone not familiar with the streets around the park, if you imagine the sidewalk as a big figure-8 (which it basically is) we're meeting on the right side of the upper circle. There's been a big dog training group straight across (west) from us, but can't guarantee they'll keep coming. Meet near the small patch of trees on the outside of that area (but not outside the "figure-8"). We'll be playing just to the center of this area, where it's more flat.

And, please don't be shy. If you see anyone kicking a ball around in the general vicinity, they're nearly certainly looking for a game just like you.

So is this event still active or not. The message below mentions a 530 time which was the start time some time ago. Would be more than willing to come if this is still active

Hi all, since this meet up is for 5:30 pm and it's dark by 5pm this meetup will be postponed until daylight saving begins next spring. There is a Sunday pickup at same location on Sunday at 10am.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
