Hermetic Qabalism is the foundation for the meanings given to the numbered cards in Tarot. Every card in the deck has a place on the Tree of Life and each position helps to determine how we interpret them. This Qabalistic number play, along with astrological symbolism and the elemental forces involved, makes Tarot what it is.
Mo has spent over 40 years studying the connection between Hermetic Qabalism and what is now known as Tarot. The encoding and passing along of this information was one of the greatest achievements of persecuted occultists. These scholars risked their lives to deliver sacred and powerful knowledge. By using the Qabalah and a popular card game, they were able to hide great secrets in plain sight.
Rarely lecturing in person, this will only be Mo's second public Tarot lecture in 15 years.
This lecture will be appropriate for all levels of Tarot interest and should provide valuable information on the nuances of dealing with the numbered cards, for even the most seasoned readers.
If you’ve ever had any questions regarding Qabalah and Tarot, bring them and Mo will try to answer them.
Mo's study of the Qabalistic influence on Tarot began in 1975 and is an ongoing pursuit.
