Both directions are essential to learning, as our good friend Temperance will tell us!
The first bona fide reading I ever did for someone, a complete stranger on a whim...I felt quite nervous and like I was groping in the dark, but the results were emphatically confirmed by the querent. A genuine success or beginner's luck? Either way, it taught me to trust intuition.
An experience of mutual enlightenment, discovery and evolution at all levels. I've found the archetypes, in their myriad appearances, are powerful and ageless symbols for both inner and outer understanding.
My involvement has run the gamut from readings to pathworking to teaching. I've learned concepts and techniques from both experienced instructors and personal investigation, and continue to absorb and develop new ideas.
I've been working with Tarot since my humble beginnings in 1994, and still consider myself a student, as there is no real end to the learning. I've since incorporated astrology, Qabala, mythology, storytelling and my own creative wits into readings.
Hats off to Scott (and Mr. E) for putting together a wonderfully ecclectic group that delves into fresh facets of the Tarot every time. Everyone brings a valuable perspective and my confidence in reading almost always gets taken up a few notches.
