Congratulations on finding a place where you can socialize and share with others who suffer with anxiety or depression as you do. It's a soft place to fall for those of you who feel alone in your struggles and are looking to connect, even if it's just for a cup of coffee.
My hope for this group is that it will serve as a healing tool. Let's get together and discuss the different ways we deal with it. Let's share ideas about nutrition, exercise, and other treatments we have tried such as therapies and medication. This is not going to be a group where we sit around and "feel sorry for ourselves" but rather a place of listening and action. It can be difficult to deal with depression or anxiety when you do not have someone to talk to who truly understands the toll it takes and that you cannot "just snap out of it". Anything shared will remain confidential and within the group.
