PLEASE NOTE THAT THE DATE HAS CHANGED
This is a joint event with the AOA MU group.
This is one of my favorite AZ lakes. We'll explore the granite formations and numerous coves. If the water level is high enough we will be able to paddle right into the Watson Woods riparian preserve. Well behaved dogs are welcome, as are children 11 and older.
From the park entrance, turn right towards the top of the hill and continue to the new boat ramp. This is the ramp that you'll see from the highway before turning into the park.
There will be a $2.00 parking fee to enter the park.
This event requires everyone to wear a PFD
(Personal Flotation Device - life vest - life jacket)
and that no alcoholic beverages be consumed during the float.
Please bring the following in addition to providing
your own kayak (or canoe), paddle, and PFD.
Sunglasses with safety strap
at least 2 liters of water if not more
Snacks for a "lunch" stop if desired
Wear clothes that you can get wet
and footwear that have a heel strap and can get wet
Event Hosts are volunteers therefore this is not a fee for service event.
It is your responsibility to determine if your physical condition
and ability are appropriate for the requirements of the event.
Please contact the event host if you have any questions
Each paddler is responsible for their own safety.
Please refer to the message board discussion titled "Event Policies" for additional information.
If you need additional information or have any concerns, you can email me
directly or simply present your question to the meetup group.
Happy Paddling! Hope to see you on the Water!
