BRING IT ON AND YOU BETTER BRING YOUR "A" GAME!
Please read carefully before signing up! There will be 2 events on the calendar for this trip. This description and sign-up will be for the PADDLE RAFTS with a Salt River Rafting Guide. For those of you who went last year, this the same type of trip.
Join Bob and I as we team up with Salt River Rafting llc of Arizona for a 9-mile full-day paddle down the Upper Salt River!
The peak flows are expected to hit just before we climb aboard 8-man rafts for a paddle event not to be missed!
Here is there promotional paragraph from their website -
"By far the most popular raft trip in the Salt River Canyon, this full day adventure plummets through numerous Class III rapids such as Maytag and Overboard. Calm stretches such as the Narrows and Cibecue allow everyone to gather and revel in the beauty of the canyon that towers above. Half way through the trip we stop for a grilled lunch of burgers, brats and veggie burgers, fresh salad, chips and salsa, as well as fresh fruit and cookies served at our riverside base camp. After lunch the excitement continues with many more rapids such as Exhibition and Mescal Falls. Keep your camera out for the return drive to your vehicle via Apache highway1 not much improved since it was built in the late 1800's! This is an excellent trip for first-timers as well as seasoned rafters. The fun, excitement and beauty of the Salt River Canyon has never failed to impress."
More information about what to bring and what to expect can be found on their website:
