Welcome to Desert Mountain Paddlers!

We hope to become your meet-up group for safe and fun kayaking & canoeing events throughout the year.

Located in Central Arizona, we will most often paddle the Salt and Verde River Reservoirs and for those desiring moving water, the Salt and Verde Rivers themselves. Rim Lakes are potential paddling destinations during those hot summer months.

All skill levels are welcome, from beginner to expert. With several rental companies in the Valley, owning a kayak is not a requirement for membership in Desert Mountain Paddlers. See our rental listings under Pages/Resources.

We do welcome children and pets at the discretion of the event host. The nature of some events may mean that it would not be appropriate for them to attend.

Though we will initially be focused on offering paddling events, we hope to add additional outdoor activities as the year progresses. These would include, but not limited to, hiking, mountain biking, whitewater rafting, fishing, bird watching, and camping both in Arizona and in neighboring states.

Some members have asked about shirts, hats, and other items with the DMP logo. They can be found at http://www.cafepress.com/desertmountainpadd....  A portion of the cost of these items go toward costs associated with running the website. Thank you for asking.
