Lives have become so busy that we often forget that while we are taking care of the professional aspects of our lives, we barely have time to consider an important, and perhaps THE important dimension of finding someone to spend the rest of our lives with.  

The traditional ways of meeting people – school, university, bars, church, temples- don’t really work anymore. (How many “We met in school” stories have you heard recently?)

It is difficult for those men & women too who become single again after going through a divorce or lost a partner. Starting life again at this point becomes too difficult.  

We understand the complexity of the situation…. every morning have this feeling, “My future is uncertain…where do I find my perfect mate?”  

Being a South Asian makes this process even more difficult…we end up making check lists “good family, education, looks, height, caste, job profile, and on and on and on….” Argh!  

There is so much family pressure, insecurity, uncertainty of future, etc. all this makes us think where to start? Have you tried matrimonial sites, newspaper ads, met people through friends? We know it’s scary! How do we know? Because we’ve been there!  

How does Desi Dreams fit in? Well, we will provide a fun and safe environment for all the busy singles to meet.  

We have designed events not only for singles who haven’t married but also for singles who are divorced/ separated/widowed so that they are not left out of the social circle.  

We will be organizing events in different cities (not just Toronto!) - Mississauga, Brampton, Oakville etc. So you don't have to commute too far and parking will not be an issue anymore! Of course this should be affordable! Everybody Mingle!  

There will also be some special gifts to be won through lucky draw at the end of the events!

Question 1 : What is Speed Dating?

Answer 1 : One night, you sit down and get to meet upto 10 people of the opposite sex , each for about 5 minutes (mini dates)

Once you like a person you tick their name in a list given to you. Its your choice.

Don't like ....wait for the next person.

After the event we collect the sheets from both guys and girls...if there is a mutual match........both people will be sent each other's email...after 48 hours. If you did not find any match we will help you in other ways. Go ahead an start communicating once you receive the email...if you are not getting in touch with the person of interest..contact us we will help arrange a meeting...(no charges for after event follow up) ..we want you to be satisfied.

Question 2 : If you are not emailed any matches ?

Answer 2:  For matching purposes both sides have to tick mark  "Yes" to be considered a match on the sheet given in the event. If you don't find a match...Try Again!

Question 3 : Will I get a post event email?

Answer 3:   Yes, Of course we will be sending emails and help you out in figuring out a better way to help you find a match

Question 4 :  What info will be shared?

Answer 4 : Only email addresses with the matches

Question 5 : How long will you  take to send the email, post event service etc.?

Answer 5: It will take atleast 48 hours before we send an email.
