When I was at frog design, I learned some techniques to help foster great design brainstorms with anyone (not just designers!). Since then, I've tried them on many different groups, and they're always a hit. For a lot of people, they feel like being in kindergarten with construction paper, paste, and lots of creativity.
Who should join: anyone who likes to brainstorm, think of new ideas, or have fun. You don't need to be a designer!
What we'll do: we'll all show up and I'll throw out an activity, like "let's brainstorm what would happen if airports were made out of cake", or "how would you re-design a movie theatre?" Then there's a combination of working on your own and sharing with the group.
Most people leave design play gatherings feeling inspired, creatively satisfied, and playful. If that sounds fun, please join us!
