Meetup #21: Summer Happy Hour

Please join us for DT:DC’s Summer Happy Hour and networking event!

Meet new people, continue a conversation, and share ideas on how you would like to see DT:DC develop. If you are new to DT:DC, this is a great way to get to know others in the group. We hope to see you there!

Volunteers. Many of you have asked the Leadership Team how you can get involved with DT:DC. Here are two ways you can help.

1) Share Your Talents: We’re always looking for members with ideas and topics for new events. Our Meetup events start as conversations, become one-page outlines, and then bloom into the presentations and experiences you’ve come to enjoy.
2) Become a Space Hunter: We’re always looking for spaces that will welcome 80–100 DT:DC members.

In the coming months, we will create more ways for people to get involved in making DT:DC happen.

DT:DC Leadership Team Additions. Nathan Ritter and Stephanie Wade recently joined the Leadership Team, increasing the size of the membership team to seven.

Stephanie is a design thinker at Booz Allen Hamilton, teaches Muay Thai kickboxing and has a background in politics, public policy, dance and studio art. Nathan Ritter is a human-centered product and service designer with a background in engineering. He has consulted on design thinking projects for Nike, Procter & Gamble, and Kaiser Permanente. After a stint at Motiv Strategies in Alexandria, Nathan is searching for new opportunities in new product and service development.

Stephanie and Nathan each bring a wealth of talents and energies that will allow DT:DC to continue to create experiences where we explore design thinking, innovation and ways of addressing complex, ambiguous problems.
