Portfolio Workshop (repeat)

Hi guys! thank you all for signing up to our event! given that the first one is already full we are repeating it for giving the opportunity to other members to join. See you all there! Given the relative unimportance of grades and test scores in M.F.A. and M. Arch. admissions, the design portfolio becomes the critical factor in determining the applicant's success. A great portfolio not only demonstrates the depth of your artistic vision, but also places the rest of your application in perspective. You must use the portfolio to explain the fundamental meaning of your designs, your projected audience and intention, and how your work addresses broader societal currents. Above all, you must create a beautiful object (your book) consisting of clear and well constructed projects, that will make even the busiest admissions officer respect you and feel compelled to admit you.

Get on board with us at our first meetup, were our design portfolio expert will be providing great insight on how to prepare an outstanding portfolio for your professional or graduate applications.

Here are a few things about our speaker:

Evangelos Limpantoudis is an Associate member of the AIA and LEED A.P., has received his M.Arch. from MIT, and has 5 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate architecture courses in design studio and visualization at MIT, NYIT and NYU-Polytechnic. He is currently a Fellow of the NYU Reynolds Program for Social Entrepreneurship in New York and part of the Civil Engineering Program at NYU-Poly. We look forward to seeing you all there! This is a FREE event.

Hey, I just wondered if you realized this is the day before Thanksgiving? I've signed up because I'm interested, but that's going to be tough coming from New England.

Awww man, I'll be out of town, and though this is a tempting enough reason to stay, I'll have to pass. *sigh*
