This looks like a lot of fun, so I went ahead and RSVPed. Hopefully, once a date is determined I'll actually be available.

    Historic bars must include:

The 2 way inn. Has over 100 years of history from town hall to speak easy

Nancy whiskey is another 100 year old bar

It takes research but there are many 100+ year old bars.

I have always wanted to find out about the chains bar at trouble and Michigan Avenue. My voice to text screwed up but seriously it could be trouble there! LOL. My family name is McShane. McShane's@ Trumbull@Michigan ave.

I adore both Honest John's AND the Whitney. The variety would be nice.

The theme was to visit bars that have national historic plaque posted out in front. If you want to add some non-nationally registered bars, then we'll have to bring some poster board and make our own signs to post along the way!

What about the real bars that have survived since the disappearance of the Alcove or the Jaycee or Verne's or Ted's, places like the Bronx or the Circa 1890 or the Old Miami or Honest (?) John's Bar and No Grill?

The Whitney?????????? Sheeesh. Where's your sense of history?
