To reiterate some of what Professor Dan Katz mentioned at today's first meet up, check out this article from Venture Beat: All rise: The era of legal startups is now in session http://venturebeat.com/2014/04/13/all-rise-the-era-of-legal-startups-is-now-in-session/

I won't be able to make it tonight either, but I would love to connect with those interested in intellectual property issues. In fact, I think it would be great to form a meetup group that focuses on intellectual property (e.g., patents, trademarks, copyrights) in the metro Detroit area.

Sorry, can't make the meeting tonight. Family obligations. Would love to make future meetings.

    Thanks.

Hi Robert, we'll have another event in May--hope you can make it then!

I am no longer able to attend this evening, but look forward to the May meeting. In the interim, I am keenly interested in connecting with members interested in legal technology for the sharing/collaborative economy (particularly in real estate and land use).

I'm no longer able to make it; hope to do so in the future.

As an attorney (and provider of office space/services to a number of startups, legal and otherwise), this looks like a great group. Hopefully, I'll be able to attend a future Meetup. Thanks for putting this together.

    Hi everyone!

I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know what we do here at Staver & Associates, P.C. before we actually meet you on April 15th. As a general practice law firm, we have come up with a way (NetLaw) to consult with our clients online, face-to-face in an encrypted, peer-to-peer connection, from your own website. I encourage you to check us out at www.staverlaw.com and to learn more about NetLaw, please visit us on www.thenetlawconnection.com. We are looking forward to meeting with all of you and hearing how you feel about the concept.

    Thank you for this opportunity.
