Detroit-Metro Scandinavian Women is a social group for women of all ages from Scandinavia or women with an interest in the Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Sweden and Norway) who want to make new friends, get out of the house and have some fun. The founder is a young Swedish lady who came over to live in the Detroit Metro area in 2010, new to the area, and looking for friendship with people not only from the Scandinavian countries, but also for any one who is interested in Scandinavia (or likes going shopping in IKEA... LOL). Meet for conversation, fun, working out, regular power walks, or even a nice cup of coffee or glass of wine in the European tradition. For those new to the Detroit-Metro area, get to know your way around and make life-long friends! All ages and levels welcome. Our Meetups are every second Thursday of the month, and more often when things kick off.
