Feijoada Brasileira FAQs:
What day am I supposed to show up?
Sunday, March 9th, 2014
What time do we eat?
What the heck is this feijoada thing of which you speak?
Feijoada is a black bean stew with beef, pork, and linguiça, traditionally served with rice, couve (chopped kale/collard greens) sauteed in garlic, farofa (coarse roasted manioc/cassava flour), and a sliced orange, which "aids in digestion" as this is a relatively heavy dish. Where in the world do I go to partake of this tasty dish?
Zion Christian Church, 3668 Livernois Rd., Troy, MI
How much will I have to pay?
$12 for adults, $10 for seniors, $6 for kids, but keep in mind that this is feijoada we're talking about, the Brazilian national dish, and it's amazing! Also, and more importantly, ALL the money raised goes to benefit the orphanage in Brazil that the church group sponsors... food is donated and all work done by volunteers.
What if I come up with another question that you haven't addressed here?
As always, feel free to contact me through the site, through our Facebook page, or directly on my cell. The number, as always, is posted in the "how to find us" section of this event.
Vamos lá comer uma boa feijoada e também conversar em português, gente!
Espero ver todo mundo lá.
