Portuguese Language Meetup in ANN ARBOR!!

Olá, gente! Vamos encontrar em Ann Arbor! :)

Come join us for some excellent company and pleasant conversation em português as the Detroit Portuguese meetup returns to A² for our second gathering at this location. Of course, there's never any pressure to speak only in Portuguese, but I hope everyone will at least try!

We are returning to the Wolverine Brewing Company on West Stadium (please note that the Wolverine is located next to Big George's Appliance Mart and behind Great Lakes Cycling and Fitness).  They serve a variety of beers on tap and now offer a selection of sandwiches and nachos.

On this day, there will be a live band, The Understory, playing in the front section of the bar. The manager has confirmed that the back room will be available after 6:30pm and will be a first-come-first-serve, quieter area for us to meet and speak Portuguese. :)

As always, we welcome members of all proficiency levels. We speak in both Portuguese and English. Native Portuguese speakers will feel right at home and will have the chance to meet local people who share a common love for their language, both native and non-native alike. Beginners will find that our members are very supportive in helping them pick up the language, and what better way to improve your proficiency than to practice and share your experiences in a fun environment with people who understand your passion for Portuguese?

As Marlene says, "Apareça, pessoal!" ;)

Até logo, amigos!

Parking is sparse. (Now I know - sorry guys!) Keep going around back until you find a spot. The businesses next door are ok with you parking - but I would stay away from the Cyclery and the Bank.

For some of us, it's very close. Detroit is a very long drive for us west side members, too.
Please keep in mind that this is why we have several different locations for our meetups... so that at least one location will be relatively convenient for everyone =)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
