Semana de voltar para Ann Arbor, galera!
Vamos lá??! =)
Come join me this week as Detroit Portuguese returns to scenic Ann Arbor, to watch the very first game of the Copa do Mundo... Brasil x Croatia!! =D
I am off work on this day and will right around 4 pm (Wolverine's opening time), to make sure the TV is on the right channel and that we have a table or tables in the back room. (BTW, I have verified there is no live music on Thursday this week).
We'll stay afterwards and have a regular meetup, so if you can't make it to watch the game, come for the second half... if you can't make it for the second half, just come for the meetup... but in any case, SHOW UP!!
All of this fun will be taking place at the Wolverine Brewing Company on West Stadium (please note that the Wolverine is located next to Big George's Appliance Mart and behind Great Lakes Cycling and Fitness) . Up until recently this microbrewery served no food, but has recently added a selection of sandwiches and nachos.
As always, we welcome members of all proficiency levels. We speak in both Portuguese and English. Native Portuguese speakers will feel right at home and will have the chance to meet local people who share a common love for their language, both native and non-native alike. Beginners will find that our members are very supportive in helping them pick up the "language of Camões", and what better way to improve your proficiency than to practice and share your experiences in a fun environment with people who understand your passion for Portuguese?
Estou aguardando ver todo mundo de novo lá. Apareça, pessoal!
Até lá... se cuida.
