DetroitRuby:Meet Mr. Enumerable

Carl Wright will we presenting a talk entitled "Meet Mr. Enumerable". The second part of the meetup will be an open floor discuss on the differences good and bad between Ruby 1.8.7 and 1.9.2.

As we continue to hammer down the meetup structure I'd also ask people to come with any suggestions for future topics and meetup styles. Mike and I were discussing having some hack sessions mixed in with some group lightning talks and even so Code Katas straight out of Dave Thomas's The Pragmatic Programmer. As always feel free to message the group or contact any of us if you have any questions or thoughts.

We will be taking the list from on Monday the 13th to get everyone registered for this meeting. You will need to provide both your first and last name or unfortunately you won’t be able to attend.

Great Idea! Lets have an open discussion "battle" over the differences and issues people have reported between 1.8.7 and 1.9.2. I have a few code examples to show core differences but please feel free to bring any code or articles that really dive into the differences.

As you guys mentioned doing jruby, I suggested do a preface talk comparing the changes between 1.8.7 and 1.9.2 because as of a few months ago it only supported 1.8.7. But it looks like it now fully supports 1.9.2. Either way it might be a good talk.
