Compuware is currently seeking a Ruby Developer to work with a new development team focused on implementing projects in Ruby and Ruby on Rails. The main project this developer would be working on is a brand new innovative, web 2.0 type of video news sharing application. The application will be targeted at both web and mobile platforms including iOS and Android. You will be part of a brand new team within Compuware, working in a fast-paced startup type of environment. In this role you can also help nurture the use of Ruby and the Rails framework within Compuware. For the right person who enjoys being on the forefront of new technologies this can be a fun and exciting project to be a part of.
· Minimum of 1 year of web development experience, including server-side programming experience
· Experience with a dynamic language such as Ruby, Python, or PHP
· Excellent verbal communication skills
· Ability to work independently or in a team
· Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
· Experience developing in the Ruby language
· Web Services experience
· Experience with web frameworks such as Rails, Sinatra, Django, Cake, or Symphony
