I know this is short notice, but we have a great 4 to 5 hour workshop planned for you this coming Saturday. We will be covering jQuery Mobile and Phonegap, and when you leave this workshop you will have a fully functioning List App. We have also included pushing items to a database and retreiving items. The things you will learn in the workshop will help you create mobile applications and publish them to the App Stores.
Here are some things you will be learning,
• How to setup a jQuery Mobile project.
• How to make adjustments to your layout for your app
• Incorporate a data driven app using MongoDB
• How to make ajax calls
• How to publish your app to Phonegap (if you want to publish to iOS you have to have your own certificates but I will show you how to make them work in Phonegap if you do)
The MongoDB and ajax items will be brief overviews as this workshop is geared more for the jQuery Mobile and Phonegap parts.
You can find the files here. https://github.com/dev-workshop-indy. Download the DwiList_starter.zip on the right hand side on the GitHub page.
We hope you will come and learn how to make a List app with Dev Workshop. Oh and we have started a podcast series that can be found on iTunes here: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/dev-workshop-podcast/id723491536?mt=2
This workshop will be hosted at The Basement. Click on The Basements name and it will show you a Google map on how to get there.
