To be honest, I'm not sure where the line is drawn with "developing", but I'd say odds are good you'd call it that.
Python. Very new-user friendly and intuitive. Also fairly experienced with AML, though I don't use it as much.

I've worked professionally in GIS for 8 years, though I heavily relied on ArcGIS and Erdas Imagine while earning my Master's at NCSU. I'm currently scripting with python to prepare and post process data from the predictive urbanization model SLEUTH.
