    I'm a total novice, so I can't speak for others about advanced features. Any compare/contrast to puppet and chef would be useful to me, though.

      The comparing and contrasting would have to come from the group; the only other system I've used is Puppet and I've forgotten most of it since I abandoned it due to frustrating bugs.
