MAKING LIFE DEV EASY: DEVLAB and UCL DECIDE launch DEVICE
A new programme supporting developers and startups.
DevLab and UCL DECIDE have just launched a new programme called DEVICE to tackle a challenge developers face every day: how to test their products on legacy handsets and how to gain access to new devices. DEVICE solves both problems by giving developers the means to help each other through a device exchange programme launched at this week’s Droidcon event.
In exchange for a legacy handset, developers will receive a DEVICE membership which provides access to:
• New and old devices for testing at the device lab in Shoreditch
• Alpha devices and pre-release technology
• User experience and usability testing software
• A team of usability experts to help finesse new Apps (subject to availability and approval)
• UCL's private app store of 40,000 peeps for pre-commercial testing (early 2014)
• Free handsets and priority marketing from partner OEMs
Register for membership and pick up your member card at this Wednesday’s event AngelHack pitch night or at the UCL stand at Droidcon: thedeveloperlab.com/device/become-a-member/.
