Introduction

This is the only photograph of me in a suit since my sister's wedding.

What kind of technologist are you? Or if you represent a social mission organization, what's it called and what are your goals?

.NET for the last decade+, but took my tours through java, Ruby, PHP etc. Now mostly excited about functional programming (F#, for practical reasons). Good math background, working through the Stanford AI/machine learning/data mining/social network analysis courses. Would love to find an application for that.

Are you currently working on any projects that use technology for social good?

Work on the Ford Foundation's website, pushing for linked data/semantic web

  • This big-up goes out to you Graham! First because you recognize that it is badly taught, and second because you imply that it is something to be celebrated and not to be feared. A musem would certainly celebrate it and demystify the whole learning process. Maybe??
