Introduction
I'm a former Cognitive Psychology professor turned serial entrepreneur. My focus has been on advanced technology and systems that enable non-technical people to take more control of their own content. Smalltalk, Java, Ruby, PHP, WordPress, BuddyPress
What kind of technologist are you? Or if you represent a social mission organization, what's it called and what are your goals?
Our goal is to create disruptive technologies that fight the digital divide with Open Source, Open Government and Open Business approaches to preserve the Internet as a "Commons" and separate the pipe owners from the content owners.
Are you currently working on any projects that use technology for social good?
We are planning to launch http://NeighborSquad.TV - "Fire Your Cable Company With Help From Your Neighbors" - a voice + text communications platform to crowd source tech support - Call us for help to cancel your cable bill and learn about cheaper, better alternatives. We then text the five teens or older "techies" who live around the corner from you.
