Our meeting place will be the gazebo inside the Highland-Camrose Park at the NW corner of Highland Avenue and Camrose Drive, a quiet sanctuary housing picnic tables for Hollywood Bowl-goers, as well as bungalow offices for a few businesses and a small police station. Public restrooms are available here.
This route is about 3 miles long and includes over 400 steps and 3-4 stops for yoga sessions (yoga experience not necessary). We will also be treated to many historical, cultural, and fun-fact moments by our resident tour guide, Carney, as we visit the High Tower, the Hollywood Bowl, and homes designed by Frank Lloyd Wright and Carl Kay.
Some street parking is available on Camrose Drive and surrounding streets. A parking garage ($) can also be found at the nearby Hollywood and Highland Center, housing the famous Kodak/Dolby Theatre. A Metro Red line stops here as well. And, as always, it makes sense to carpool.
Bring lots of water and remember to wear sunscreen and comfortable walking/hiking shoes. A $10.00 donation is suggested and exact change is greatly appreciated!
