How to Solve Our Human Problems

How to Solve Our Human Problems with Concetta Lamore
In this class, we will learn practical methods to recognize reduce and finally eliminate our anger which is the underlying force behind all of our frustration, irritation, and general dissatisfaction. It “is one of the most common and destructive delusions and it afflicts our mind almost every day.” It drains our energy, destroys our relationships, and damages our mental and physical well-being without our awareness. We can develop new ways of responding to “unwanted occurrences and frustrated desires” by applying this time tested ancient wisdom to our complicated modern lives and develop a stability and confidence that nothing can destroy. How wonderful!
As a foundation for this class, we will study the book ‘How to Solve Our Human Problems’ by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso. The class is open to everyone who has a wish to understand Buddha’s teachings. These classes include chanted meditation prayers, a teaching on a particular section of the text, a guided meditation on the subject matter and then time for paired discussion. Although this class will run from January to June 2014, it is a drop in general program class open to all students. Prior registration or experience is not required and you may join in at any time.

$15 class suggested donation/ no one will be turned away for lack of funds
