What we’re about

We are a community of fun, relaxed and spiritual people, who study, discuss Buddha's teachings and practice them while living and enjoying our modern lives. This group is for those who seek a fresh, practical and direct experience of what Buddhism is all about.

We meet every Sunday at 7:30pm and Wednesday at 8pm. Meetings start with a short introductory talk about Buddhism, and continue into a half hour meditation session. The Buddhist meditation is free, guided in English, doesn't require any special clothes, and doesn't involve any complex rituals. Most of our regular members don't bother RSVPing on meetup, so don't worry about RSVP count on this webpage -- usually there is about 8 people on Sunday meditation and less on Wednesday.
This group is a part of an international non-profit network of more than 600 meditation centers in the Karma Kagyu tradition (lineage of the yogis) of Tibetan Buddhism. These centers were founded and are directed by Lama Ole Nydahl according to the wishes of H.H. the 16th Karmapa, Rangjung Rigpe Dorje. They are currently under the spiritual guidance of H.H. the 17th Gyalwa Karmapa, Trinlay Thaye Dorje.
