Adobe CS6 Launch event

Two Adobe representatives will help us celebrate the launch of the CS6 release of Adobe products. We’ll be holding two raffles for a full suite of the new software, one for Digital Creatives Oxford, and one for the Premiere and Post group (refer to their site for the terms of the raffle, ours is out of a hat – but you’ve got to be there to win!).

Richard Curtis (@richardcurtis) will give a presentation and demonstration of Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4, the new releases along with Touch applications and Creative Cloud. Iona Walters will present Production Premium CS6.

Note the new venue for this event: we’ll be at Headington Hill Hall, which is on the Oxford Brookes Headington Hill Campus, Oxford, OX3 0BP. http://goo.gl/maps/5ZVu.

Free parking will be available at Headington Hill Hall for this event.

If you are driving to town from Headington it is on the right hand side at the very top of the hill. Tell security you are going to a meeting at Headington Hill House, they will give directions, it has its own car park.

Good meeting, learnt somethings about the 3D capabilities in PS CS6. I would liked to have seen a little more of photography related topics for the significant number of people who raised their hands as photographers.

Really enjoyed it, the two people who were talking about and demonstrating the new features of CS6 were really interesting. I was genuinely enthralled at certain points, perhaps at my own ability to understand some of it since I am still on CS1! It was a glimpse into a more advanced computer world, some of which I will never need to use but still good to know of. It was a shame they did not have more powerful computers to show the full capabilities of the software, that was a minor though irritating point. It would have been good to have a bit more time in the middle to chat but there was a lot to fit in.

Excellent evening, especially the slot by Richard Curtis running through the updates in Photoshop CS6...think he has done a good job persuading me to update!
only 4 stars because I didn't win one of the prize draws ;-)
