Our June 19 Meetup will feature Jeanne Kramer-Smyth (@spellboundblog) and Emily Reynolds (@emilyrnlds) presenting about the World Bank Group Archives eArchives digitization program.
The eArchives program is an ongoing effort to provide greater public access to declassified World Bank Group business records through digitization. Jeanne and Emily will discuss their experience managing and optimizing digitization, including cooperation with other Archives staff and seeking opportunities for automating tasks in the workflow.
Later this summer, digitized materials and archival descriptions will be made available through a public online finding aid portal, using the open source Access to Memory platform. The talk will also cover the development and launch of this site.
