Digital collections management at the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress, including over 2,500 cultural heritage collections, many of which contain large amounts of digitized and born-digital content. Lead-developer for the National Folklore Archives Initiative online catalog - NEH-funded project to provide collections-management and online-access support to folklore collections throughout the US. Dissemination Project Manager at the Association for Cultural Equity / Alan Lomax Archive, where we repatriate and disseminate digital copies of Alan Lomax's recordings, photographs, and field notes to people and repositories in the places where the recordings where originally made.
I've been working with cultural heritage and digital cultural heritage collections since 2002, beginning at the Alan Lomax Archive in NYC and making my circuitous route to the American Folklife Center at the Library of Congress by way of Kansas.
