Museum Analytics - measuring online success


Earlier this year the Amsterdam Museum participated in the Museum Analytics – Action Research Project, a project focused on defining, measuring and evaluating online success in the cultural sector. As a result the museum is now in the process of reinventing the way to measure success of their activities. 

Hester Gersonius, part of the Amsterdam Museum’s new media team since 2009, will share insights from the Museum Analytics project and show which steps are being taken to have a better understanding of their online audiences.

      Interesting point, especially considering the huge amount of work many museums have put into digitizing their collections. What are the returns and when would we consider our digital collections to be a 'success'?
